The Stroud District & Country Club traces its roots back to the early 1960s, when it was established by local farmers as a welcoming hub for the community. In its early days, the Club supported both golf and bowls, centred around a modest clubhouse that quickly became a gathering place for locals.

The current clubhouse, built in the 1970s, has grown into a valued venue for the Stroud region, continuing to bring people together for social events, sport, and dining. Today, golf remains at the heart of the Club’s identity, complemented by the warm hospitality and experiences on offer throughout the Club.
